Lauren & Phil
Feels like home
Lauren & Phil's love story session
A top priority with our clients is building a deep rooted relationship with them. We feel it is important to grow a strong knowledge of who who they are as a people and as a couple. This is why engagement sessions are so important.
The importance of a picture, in so many cases, is tied closely to the importance of a place. Places hold many memories, moments and emotions. Capturing these places can take you back to specific time and feelings. Ones that we hold so dearly to our hearts.
Where you take your engagement pictures should be special to you, it should have meaning, and most importantly it should remind you of your love. This was very much the case for Phil and Lauren's session. We were honored to learn not only more about them as a beautiful couple, but about a place that they hold so dearly to their hearts:
Lauren's grandparent's TJ & Ellen Homan bought 300 acres of land in the 1970's. After buying the property, they built a home and two man-made lakes. Being one of fourteen grandchildren, Lauren and her family grew up on the property: Retreats on the weekends, fishing at the lakes, sitting on the docks, exploring the land and growing a lifetime of memories. In the time since her grandparent's passing, they have also added trails made for biking and four wheeling. The farm is Lauren's favorite place to be. It is a place that reminds her of family, friends and love. A place that hangs in picture frames on walls, with photos of grandparent's who will never be forgotten. Being on the property, I felt the love and history of this home. As we ventured to the dock to take photos of Lauren and Phil, Lauren said "It was like her grandparents were right there with us." What better way to celebrate the joy and happiness of their engagement! What better place to capture the love Lauren & Phil have. A place where laughter and love was grown, raised and nurtured. This feels likes home.
